The sound of an African Kalimba, location recordings in a gym in Belfast and various sounds of bowed and struck metal, attempt to coexist meaningfully in a common space. At times the melodies of the Kalimba suggest a musical structure, only to be interrupted by the space oriented implications of the more concrete sounds. The piece can be seen as an attempt to balance between the two listening modes.
